Did some more exploring this weekend. Found lots of fun new trails on Saturday linking up some more common stuff. Still no snow to speak of - maybe tonight?

Saving the daylight

Cutting it close with the time change, some local exploring today…

Mud season

Up to the mountains this weekend for some fun. Out for a ride on Saturday morning I had my doubts upon seeing the snow covered trail. The ride had everything from just a trace to 5 inches of snow. Fortunately the creek crossings were mostly frozen, making it fairly easy to get across without getting soaked. It was a fun ride, slipping and sliding around in the snow and ice. Didn’t see a single person the whole time. Hung up the bike and ran down lower today around creekside, zoom and flume. The trails were a mixed bag of muck, snow and ice. Next up - skis!

CX

Will and I stopped by the ‘cross race at Xilinx on Saturday. Beautiful day, awesome course, lots of familiar faces - good time all around. The little guy loves watching the races and ringing his bell - hup, hup.

Strike two

More rain - two weekends in a row now. Did manage to get in a ride at Hall Ranch this morning before the rain really started coming down. The trails were in perfect condition, but I’d be they’re pretty soupy this morning after all the rain last night. Here comes winter!

And on that note, I’d like to encourage everyone (maybe all two of you who read this) to support Ethan and the team at the CAIC this year more than ever. After some budget hardships and fund raiser cancellation every little bit can help continue the good work they do, so give ‘em a donation now.
